There has been a glitch in the London Congestion Charging system. Despite the fact that I have paid my resident discount until September 2010 it seems that their systems are not registering my license plate properly as having paid. I would like to point out that my license plate is correctly registered, so who knows what the hell their problem is.
I came back from holiday to find 10 separate penalty charges (in addition to the 6 that were cancelled previously) which would total £600 or if not responded to within 14 days £1200. Every penalty charge notice contains 4 pieces of paper and has to be snail mailed to me. What a total waste.
Technology. You gotta love it.
