First off, I have to admit that my style of dressing has gotten really really comfortable. I’m not quite at the point of wearing my PJs out of the house, but there is a lot less fashion in my life these days than in times past. This might have something to do with the fact that San Francisco is so damned chilly and wearing cute spring dresses is not even an option. Or laziness. All I know is I want to be comfy.
We went to James Perse the other day in LA and I picked up a pair of these sweatpants. And I am totally and completely in love with them. They might possibly be the best thing invented since sliced bread. For reals.
You might ask yourself why a pair of sweatpants can be so freakin’ good, right? I mean, they are cotton and they are warm, so what is the diff?
There is something about James Perse clothing that is simply amazing. His stuff is totally basics. Like a very upscale version of American Apparel (without all the porn). The cotton is so soft and the right amount of thickness, but durable feeling. The cuts are great. I can’t say enough about how much I love this stuff. It is the ultimate definition of comfort.
If it weren’t such a fashion faux pas, I would seriously wear these sweatpants every day of my life coupled with a nice soft Everlane t-shirt. At $125, they aren’t cheap, but damn it they are worth it.
