I’ve gone through a bunch of dietary changes in the last years. I guess this is just par for the course when you live in San Francisco and everyone is obsessed with talking about what they eat… I find that Paleo kind of suits me. No grains, no legumes, no sugar – basically no carbs. I admit that I can’t quit the alcohol, but that is another story.
I have a ton of cookbooks. I love cookbooks. I love to look at them and imagine all of the amazing things that I could make, but never make. And this is the problem with most cookbooks. They are beautiful, but completely unpractical.
In comes Well Fed – Paleo Recipes by Melissa Joulwan. Wow! It is my new favorite read. I can basically see myself making every one of these recipes. There is really practical advice and shopping lists along with prep info. The recipes are all really simple. No fuss. And everything looks amazing! I was so excited that I actually purchased Well Fed 2 – the followup. Exciting stuff. Want to come over for dinner?
