I chaperoned a trip to the California Academy of Sciences today with the kindergarten class from Rosa Parks Elementary. It is one of my favorite places to go in San Francisco and with a bunch of 5 year olds it was even more fun.
This was our group of kids posing on the tortoise (not to be confused with a turtle, trust me). It was not such an easy feat to get them all on that tortoise, but the photo turned out great.
BTW, here is a link in case you are wondering what the difference is between turtles and tortoises. And the one that always facinates/confuses me, the difference between crocodilles and alligators. I got schooled by a 5 year old for calling the albino alligator a croc. I’ll never make that mistake again and I apologised profusely to poor Aubrey for fighting with him about it (even though he later asked me to go see the albino croc, so I clearly changed his thinking).
