Oh, my beloved Dreamhost hosting service. They were always so good at everything that I recommended them to everyone. But today they really screwed up. Big time. Due to a glitch in the matrix, they overcharged everyone for an entire years worth of hosting. Ooops. This mistake cost me $490 in unforeseen charges. To top it all off they haven’t even had the balls to email their customers telling them about this issue. I had to go looking for the information after I received a dodgy looking statement. Ludicrous (and not the rapper).
This is completely unacceptable. I will take the recurring billing facility off of my account and unless something great is offered to make up for this, I will begin shopping around for another host.
Their response seems rather cavalier given the severity of the situation. This is something that could cause them to lose their credit card processing account and then what would they do?
Billing Issues
We are currently aware of some billing inaccuracies which we will be resolving later today. All of these issues will be resolved, and any billing errors corrected. We sincerely apologize for any hassle this has created.

The problem has been found and corrected. We are currently going through all erroneously charged accounts and refunding money. Stay tuned for further updates.
