I don’t know why, but I have this obsession with plastic sushi. I think it is the most bizarre thing when you see it outside of Japanese restaurants as a display of what food they make. Everytime someone goes to Japan I ask for plastic sushi, but somehow no one ever finds it and brings it back to me.
I went searching online for places to buy some and came across this site. Damn. The art of plastic sushi making seems like a lucrative business. The Sukiyaki bowl costs $312. Must be pretty realistic stuff with some fine craftmanship!
